Nigerian Man Refuses to Kneel for Girlfriend During Proposal, Later Gives In

 

A Nigerian man refused to kneel for his girlfriend during a marriage proposal, insisting he was not begging her, but later bowed to pressure The man, said to be from Benin, argued strongly against kneeling and told the people around him that it was not necessary After several moments of back and forth and mockery from those present, he eventually surprised everyone by kneeling to propose. A Nigerian man who initially refused to kneel for his girlfriend during a marriage proposal eventually succumbed to pressure and went on his knees to propose. He explained why he did it in the video after the proposal, and the lady accepted the ring from him. 

The man was later challenged by a woman in the video, suspected to be his girlfriend, after his earlier refusal to kneel. At first, he stated that he wouldn’t kneel for his girlfriend, stressing that he was not begging her at all. After several back-and-forth moments, he eventually knelt before her as they proceeded with the proposal. This was captured in a video shared on the page, @keborevents, via the popular social media platform TikTok. The clip began with the man telling his girlfriend and others present that he wouldn’t kneel. He insisted he would not do it, but hours later, he was seen on his knees proposing. 

Man finally kneels for girlfriend While he was mocked during the act by those present who felt he was only trying to maintain the standard of a Benin man, he eventually gave in. Speaking about his stance against kneeling, he told the people present, including his girlfriend: “I no dey kneel down, my leg no dey touch ground. I dey beg am?” However, after the whole proposal and his eventual kneeling, he was confronted by a lady who asked him why he went against his words.
