Social media users have reacted to the wedding invitation of a Nigerian couple who want to get married on August 17 The groom released his wedding invitation on Facebook, but a specific clause on it has caught the attention of many Some internet users wondered why the couple included such a clause on the wedding invitation and others hailed them. A Nigerian couple's wedding invitation has sent social media users into a frenzy. The groom, Eric Chukwuebuka, a content creator on Facebook with the name Anooda-matta, shared his wedding invitation on the social media platform on Saturday, August 2.

The groom also released his pre-wedding pictures with his wife-to-be, Blessing Chetachi. From the wedding invitation, it was stated that the wedding ceremony would be held on August 17 at Gracestream Worship Center, the former NITEL building beside Toronto Hospital, Upper Iweka, Onitsha, Anambra state. The 'no reception' clause on the invitation caught people's attention, as it implied that the couple intended to do only a church wedding, with no after-wedding merriment for guests. Some people wondered why they chose not to have a wedding reception. A Facebook user, Emmanuel Kings, hailed the couple's 'no reception' policy. In his words: "NO RECEPTION. We are gradually getting there as a nation that likes to copy and over do things to our detriments."
