A video from his private funeral in Canada has emerged on social media as family and friends paid their last respects to Kayode Peters.
A clip showed the moment Kayode's casket arrived at the cemetery. Another clip also captured the moment his casket was laid to the ground as family and friends watched. Sharing an update about his funeral, Kayode's family wrote: "As we prepare to say our last goodbye to Kayode Peters🕊, we invite all who knew, loved, and were inspired by him to join us in Toronto to honour a life so full of purpose, talent, and heart. This isn’t just a goodbye; it’s a moment to remember, reflect, and rejoice over a life that touched so many."
Recall that Kayode Peters passed away in June, Toronto, Canada, after a prolonged illness. An extract from the message his family shared announcing his death, read "It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved, Kayode Peters Adewumi, who passed on peacefully this morning June 28, 2025, in Toronto, Canada.
“KP braved, challenged and conquered a long time illness until his last breath this morning. Kayode Peters will be remembered for creating the sitcom Flatmates in 2004 and becoming the executive producer of its successor, My Flatmates. Other popular series Kayode Peters worked on include Twilight Zone and Papa Ajasco and Company.
