KWAM 2: Passenger Who Assaulted Air Ibom Hostess Remanded in Kirikiri

 




In a significant twist of events, Comfort Emmanson, the passenger who assaulted airline officials on an Ibom Air flight inbound Lagos from Uyo, has been charged to court Tunde Moshood, an aide to the minister of aviation and aerospace development, confirmed in a statement issued on Monday and added that Emmanson was remanded in Kirikiri correctional facility Legit.ng reported that the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) had warned that enforcement action would soon become more frequent in Nigerian airports following unruly conduct by passengers 

Comfort Emmanson, the passenger accused of assaulting airline officials aboard an Ibom Air flight from Uyo to Lagos, has been charged to court and remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos. Tunde Moshood, the special adviser on media and communications to the minister of aviation and aerospace development, Festus Keyamo, SAN, confirmed the development in a post shared on his X page on Monday, August 11, 2025. 

“The more reason the flying public should be more careful, the unruly passenger on the Uyo–Lagos bound Ibom Air, Miss Comfort Emmanson, has been charged to court and she’s now cooling off in Kirikiri.” NCAA reacts as Air Ibom passenger assaults air hostess Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that Michael Achimugu, director of consumer affairs at the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), has asked passengers to always follow "simple routine issues". Achimugu's advice comes after Comfort Emmanson, the passenger on an Ibom Air flight, caused a scene at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Sunday, August 10, assaulting an air hostess and confronting airport officials.
