Nigerian Man Spends 7 Weeks Inside Ship Travelling From Lagos To Barcelona, Gets Deported

 


A Nigerian man has come out to narrate some of the things he regrets in his life, and his story has gone viral According to the man, there are three things he regrets in life, and one of them is returning to Nigeria from abroad He said he travelled abroad by hiding on a ship going from Lagos to Barcelona, but ended up being deported. A Nigerian man has narrated the story of how he travelled to Barcelona, Spain, by hiding on a ship. The man narrated his story after he was asked about some of the regrets he has in life.

In the video posted by Yomi Listens, the man, who identified himself as David, said he had relocated to Lagos in 1997, where he worked as a cleaner at the Apapa Wharf. David said a ship docked at the Apapa Wharf from Spain, and the engineer who services the engine of the ship told him he could take him abroad. He was not the only one, as the engineer collected $1000 each from 20 of them and hid them in the engine area of the ship. The man said he and his co-travellers spent one month and three weeks on board the ship, eating bread and surviving through difficult times. However, he said seven of them died, but he survived and made it to Barcelona. When the ship finally docked, he had nowhere to go, and he walked for several hours and passed the night with a farmer. 

According to him, the farmer came in the morning and ended up taking him in and caring for him. He said he was discovered and deported on a particular day, he went out to look for Nigerian food to eat. Reactions as man shares his life experiences @daweh_daweh said: "DECISION! I totally agree with him on this as I have taken so many decisions and held them strong till date. 1. I haven’t taken a soft drink (mineral ) for the past 8 years, I do only water. 2. I haven’t clubbed all my life and I will not. 3. I have never smoked and I will never. I haven’t patronize Olosho and I will never. Life na Decision almost all the time."
