Breaking: Court Sentences Gospel Singer Oluwatimileyin Ajayi to Death for Killing Girlfriend

 


The High Court in Lafia, Nasarawa State, has delivered its judgement against gospel singer, Oluwatimileyin Ajayi The court sentenced Ajayi to death by hanging for killing his girlfriend, Salome Adaidu in the state Legit.ng reports that Ajayi was arrested while attempting to transport the severed head of the 24-year-old NYSC member on a commercial motorcycle.

Nasarawa state, Lafia - The High Court in Lafia, Nasarawa State, has sentenced gospel singer, Oluwatimileyin Ajayi to death by hanging for killing his girlfriend, Salome Adaidu. The court gave the judgement on Thursday, June 26, 2025. recalls that the police identified Eliojo Salomey, a 24-year-old National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, as the victim allegedly killed by her boyfriend, Timileyin. The command's spokesperson, Nansel Ramhan, narrated how Timileyin was caught while attempting to transport Salomey's severed head on a commercial motorcycle in Nasarawa state. 

TVC News reported the breaking news via its X handle @tvcnewsng on Thursday, June 26, 2025. Justice Simon Aboki found Ajayi guilty of killing and dismembering Adaidu, who was a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member. According to Channels Television, the gospel singer had been charged with one count of murder contrary to Section 221 of the Penal Code of Northern Nigeria and punishable by death.
